McCutchen Ranch has been in operation since 1981 and is the home of
Wayne & Melinda McCutchen.
During the last 32 years, our competition disciplines have expanded from roping to Foundation Quarter Horse Shows to American Quarter Horse Association Ranch Horse Versatility competitions and National Cutting Horse Association events.
Our horses have been shown successfully by our family and satisfied customers over the last two and a half decades.
Welcome to McCutchen Ranch
In our breeding program, we concentrate on 5 key factors:
Correct conformation that will maintain soundness throughout the horse's life, combined with eye appeal
Blood tells. As a rule of thumb, if you breed proven bloodlines, while keeping in mind an individual's strengths & weaknesses, you will be pleased with the resulting foal.
Each individual must have the ability to excel in their designated event or as an all-around horse.
TRAINABILITY & DISPOSITION
The colts must have good attitudes and a willingness to learn and accept correction.
The majority of our horses will participate with cattle during their careers - either in the cutting pen, the roping arena, or on the ranch. Therefore, an instinctual "cow sense" is a must in the colts we produce.
Our horses play a large part in our lives and we've been successful with them. However, we cannot take the credit. We give God all the glory. Our faith in Jesus Christ is the glue that holds McCutchen Ranch and our family together. We are continually amazed and awed by God's grace to us - not only for our salvation, but also in the people He has brought into our lives. Please visit the Ranch & Family Page to meet a few of the people we know and love. Bless the Lord, oh my soul.
